Accidents caused by manual work

Many people have to undertake some sort of manual work; this may involve the lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying or moving items from one place to another. Proper training must be given about how to correctly lift or move items. Where possible machinery or other tools should be provided to avoid the need to lift manually, for example, lifting devices and trolleys.
