no win no fee

The majority of our cases are carried out on a conditional fee agreement (CFA), more commonly known as a no win no fee agreement.

We use the law society standard CFA and this ensures that clients are able to pursue their cases without the need to pay costs. In addition we do, where appropriate, use legal expenses insurance to protect the client against any costs that may be awarded against them.

To discuss how to pursue your case with no cost to you, contact Stephen Gowland.

slips, trips and falls

Had a slip, trip or fall and wondering about compensation?

There are two main types of accident outside the workplace that can result in a personal injury claim:

Accidents in the street

Your local council is responsible for keeping roads and pavements maintained and in a reasonable condition. The council can only avoid blame if they can prove that the street in question was inspected in accordance with the relevant guidelines. The frequency they have to inspect varies depending upon the location of the accident.

Accidents in other areas

If you enter a public place e.g. a supermarket, bank etc, the owners of that building have a duty to ensure that you are safe whilst on their property. This includes ensuring that the building and fixtures and fittings are in a good state of repair and that any hazards, for example a spillage, are cleaned up so as not to cause an accident.

If you've been injured in these circumstances and believe that you might have a caim for compensation, talk to the experts at ILS Solicitors for frank and friendly advice.
