no win no fee

The majority of our cases are carried out on a conditional fee agreement (CFA), more commonly known as a no win no fee agreement.

We use the law society standard CFA and this ensures that clients are able to pursue their cases without the need to pay costs. In addition we do, where appropriate, use legal expenses insurance to protect the client against any costs that may be awarded against them.

To discuss how to pursue your case with no cost to you, contact Stephen Gowland.

accidents at work

Had an accident at work and wondering about compensation?

If you have been involved in an accident at work, which was not your fault, you may be entitled to a payment of compensation. Contact ILS Solicitors for free initial advice to find out if you may have a personal injury claim.

There are many different types of accident in the workplace. Some of the types of accident that occur are as follows:

Accidents using any sort of machinery

Employers have a duty to provide the correct equipment for the job in question and also the correct safety equipment.

Accidents caused by an unsafe place of work

It is the employer's duty to ensure that floors, surfaces, working areas and corridors are safe for the use of employees. Your employer needs to have complied with strict guidelines as set down by acts of parliament and common law.

Accidents caused by manual work

Many people have to undertake some sort of manual work; this may involve the lifting, pushing, pulling, carrying or moving items from one place to another. Proper training must be given about how to correctly lift or move items. Where possible, machinery or other tools should be provided to avoid the need to lift manually.

If you feel that you have suffered an injury at work that was someone else's fault, ILS Solicitors can provide you with specialist advice as to whether you may have a claim for compensation.
